The Primary Collaboration New Zealand Limited (PCNZ NZ) was established to gain a better understanding of the complex China market and facilitate easier access to China - a key market for New Zealand primary produce. The collaboration family so far includes Mr Apple, Bostock, Freshmax, Silver Fern Farms, Synlait, Sealord, Villa Maria, Kono and recently New Zealand King Salmon have joined.

Andy is a Director of PCNZ and will join us to talk about getting the go-to-market model right, the benefits of collaboration and difference it is making for the participants and some insights into the complexity of China as a market.

Andy is the CEO and Managing Director of Scales Corporation Limited. He joined Scales in 2007 as CEO and became Managing Director in 2011.

Prior to joining Scales he had a 20 year career in banking, with his final role being Head of Corporate Banking at Westpac New Zealand. Andy has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of Scales.

In addition to his Scales Group directorships Andy is currently Chairman of Directors of Akaroa Salmon Limited, Primary Collaboration Shanghai Co. Limited, a director of apple and pear industry body Pipfruit New Zealand Incorporation, property and investment group George H Investments Limited and Central Otago deer and beef cattle breeding and fattening farming company Loganbrae Limited. In November 2016 he was appointed as an independent director of Rabobank Australia Limited, Rabo Australia Limited and Rabobank New Zealand Limited.

Scales Corporation was listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX) on July 25 2014 and was included in the S&P NZX 50 in September 2016.
